What You'll Do:
Account Representative is responsible for account management in their assigned territory by developing and maintaining a profitable customer base, supporting services, and promoting products. This position represents Cemstone as a member of industry related associations and organizations, actively participates in industry trade shows, and conducts product presentations to customers.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
•Analyze assigned territory for new customers along with new project opportunities and pursue sales by routinely calling on prospective and established customers.
• Perform general inside functions such as customer and project quotes, weekly call reports and updated account contact information.
• Establish excellent bond & rapport with customers in assigned territory to gain customer confidence with our products, services, and customer/project quotes.
• Promote the complete line of Cemstone’s products and services including but not limited to; concrete, placing services, aggregates, and proposal development.
• Promote CS and its products by working with Consulting Engineers, MNDOT, Architects and other specifying agencies.
• Present product specifications, new product, and service opportunities to new and existing customers.
• Secure and renew orders, coordinate delivery dates and related selling details to assist with achieving the highest levels of order-fulfillment possible. Delivery of material may be required.
• Solve customer problems and complaints in a timely manner and determine a customer satisfaction level with CS sales and distribution procedures.
• Assist Management in the development of annual and strategic sales and marketing plans.
• Attend and participate in industry associations.
• Maintain effective working relationships with company employees, suppliers, and customers. Promote and maintain the professional image and reputation of the company and ensure timely problem resolution and customer satisfaction.
• Other duties as assigned by the general manager.
Qualifications and Requirements:
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and industry experience
• 3 years working in a sales role ideal.
• 2 years working in a construction or contractor supply industry preferred.
• Ideal candidate will be goal orientated, self-motivated, organized, able to work in a team and have a sense of urgency.
• Proficient with computer programs such as Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook as well as Sales Logix.
• Able to work independently outside of an office setting with minimal supervision.
Language Skills:
•Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations.
• Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals.
• Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the public.
• Communicate effectively with vendors and inter-company personnel.
• Must read, write, and speak English.
Mathematical Skills:
• Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as probability and statistical inference.
• Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, margins and proportions to practical situations.
Salary: $55,000-75,000
